2 miles north Royston on A1198 (towards Huntingdon). Left at Kneesworth crossroads along The Causeway, about 1 mile to far end of village. Kneesworth/Bassingbourn are linked villages with no obvious split. Exhibition organised by Royston MRClub with an excellent tradition of over 20 years of this annual show, usually held in Royston; this year for 1st time in the new venue. Layouts in various gauges and origins including less seen aspects of the wonderful railways of Japan, much of which originates from their British roots (an inexpensive book 'Japanese Railways in the Meiji Period, 1872-1912' (£6) in 40 pages fully describes the British origins will be available for purchase).
The event was held in Mountford Hall of Liverpool University, which is the University Guild of Students building at the top of Brownlow Hill, the street to the immediate right of the landmark Adelphi Hotel.  It was opened by the Japanese Ambassador who was welcomed by the Lord Mayor of Liverpool (and, we hope, the University Vice-Chancellor).
