Sasazuka Station on the Keio Line is where the underground 'New Line' that connects to Toei's Shinjuku Line at Shinjuku rises to the surface. At the western end of the station are two terminal roads allowing those services not continuing onwards to stable clear of the running lines. On the afternoon of 10th September 2021, a Keio 8000 series EMU was approaching the platforms with a service bound for the Shinjuku terminal station, while a Toei 10-300 series was preparing to take up service on a through service to Moto Yawata.
