Kintetsu Meihan Limited Expresses

The Kinki-Nippon Railway, more familiarly known as Kintetsu operates Limited Express services between Nagoya and Ōsaka, competeing directly with JR Tōkai's Tōkaido Shinkansen between the two large urban areas. While not having the same speed, Kintetu's route is more convenient for passengers departing/arriving in the southern area of Central Ōsaka, with Ltd Expresses terminating at Nanba.

Oliver Mayer has submitted some shots this month from Kintetsu-Yatomi.

Kintetsu’s series 80000 limited express ‘Hinotori’ started operations on the Meihan (Nagoya-Ōsaka) route on 14th March 2020. The photo shows a set near Kintetsu-Yatomi station on 25th March 2020.

The series 21020 ‘Urban Liner Next’ was introduced in 2003 and is an upgraded version of the original ‘Urban Liner’. It is seen here near Kintetsu-Yatomi on 25th March 2020..

The series 21000 is the original ‘Urban Liner’ built between 1988 and 1990. All trains were refurbished in 2003/2004 and have been branded ‘Urban Liner Plus’ since then. This set is shown near Kintetsu-Yatomi on 12th May 2016.
