Sendai Streetcar (Tram) Museum

The Sendai Streetcar (Tram) Museum can be reached close to Sendai Underground’s Tomizawa Station. All pictures were taken by Anthony Robins on 22nd September 2011.

MoHa 1 type car 1 built by Kawasaki Shipyard in 1926 at a cost of 9,450 yen. With a capacity of forty, including eighteen seated, it appeared at farewell events for Sendai’s trams in 1976.

MoHa 100 type car 123 built by Niigata Engineering in 1953 at a cost of 7 million yen. With a capacity of eighty four, including twenty eight seated, it operated until the end of tram operations in 1976.

MoHa 400 type car 415 by Nippon Sharyo in 1963 at a cost of 8.95 million yen. With a capacity of eighty four, including twenty eight seated, it represents the final car of this final type.
