The Hankai tramway in the south of Osaka and Sakai provides a great atmosphere with its mixture of street running and reserved sections. Its type 161 was constructed in the late 1920s. 167 is seen at the tramway’s Abikomichi in mid September  2000. By Anthony Robins.
