Tokyo Metro Yurakucho 7000 series on the Tobu Tojo Line

A 7000 series Yurakucho subway line EMU approaches Fujimino station on the Tobu Tojo Line with a southbound through-running service from Kawagoeshi to Shinkiba. The Tokyo subway operator TRTA (commonly known as "Eidan" in Japanese) changed its name to Tokyo Metro on 1st April 2004, and the new "M" logo is visible on the front of this train, replacing the previous "S" logo.

HSOR-100 single-car DMU belonging to the newly-created Hisatsu Orange
Railway

An HSOR-100 single-car DMU belonging to the newly-created Hisatsu Orange Railway is seen near Shin-Yatsushiro. This third-sector operator took over the former JR Kagoshima Main Line between Yatsushiro and Sendai from March 2004 following the opening of the Kyushu Shinkansen.
